Setup the Content Blocks template
Build a beautiful "One Pager" with Slider Revolution.
1. Setup a blank theme template page.
Your current theme may already include a blank “FullScreen” page template. But if not, here’s a TwentySixteen Child Theme you can download and install for this purpose:
https://www.themepunch.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/twentysixteen-child.zip
- Quick Tip:
Check out the 6m12s point of this screencast for a live example of how this child theme can be setup
The child theme is fairly simple, and could definitely be modified for your current theme with a few adjustments using the information here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
Aside from setting up the child theme itself, the theme has one main functionality, which is to create and apply a blank “Fullscreen” page template as an option for the theme, using the technique described here:
https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/template-files-section/page-template-files/page-templates/
Using one of the techniques described above, create a new page using the new page template option:
2. Install the Template Pack
- Quick Tip:
The Content Blocks template and the ability to install "Template Packs" are only available from version 5.2.5
2.1 Visit the Template Library
2.2 Choose which version of the Content Blocks template you'd like to import
2.3 Click the "+" icon for one of the templates, and then click "Install Slider Pack".
- Quick Tip:
Installing a slider pack for any of the "light" templates will import all of the "light" demos, and vice versa for the "dark".
And the 8 sliders from the pack will now be officially installed.
3. Add the imported sliders to your FullScreen template page
Start with #1, and then repeat until all 8 are added to the page in the order shown below.
