Troubleshooting Tips for 5.0+

newsletterbg

If you've update to version 5.0 or higher and something isn't quite right, the following tips will often help.

  • QUICK TIP!
Step #5 below is related to almost 90% of all issues.

1. Check to make sure you're updated to the latest version.

Bugs are squashed with every update, so making sure you’re using the latest version is usually the best way to solve an issue!

From the plugin’s main admin page, make sure the “Installed Version” matches the “Latest Available Version” as shown in the screenshot below.

If an update is available:

  • Click here to learn how you can update the plugin automatically.
  • Click here to update the plugin manually (in cases when the auto-update isn’t officially available yet).

2. Try adjusting the following Global Settings.

4. Clear and disable all caches.

If you're using a cache plugin, purge its cache completely.

And if that doesn’t resolve the issue, after purging the cache, deactivate the cache plugin from your WP plugins page, as this will be important for additional troubleshooting.

In addition, it’s also good practice to clear your browser’s cache regularly, especially when testing on mobile.

5. Test for possible conflicts.

Use the following sequences to see if there's a possible incompatibility with your current theme or another plugin.

Identify if a conflict exists:

  1. Disable all other plugins
  2. Switch to the TwentyFifteen theme
  3. Test the slider

If the slider works, after following the 3 steps above, it means there’s an incompatibility somewhere.

To identify the exact source of the incompatibility:

  1. Reactivate a single plugin
  2. Test the slider
  3. If the slider stops working, you’ve identified the source of the conflict
  4. If the slider does not work, repeat steps #1-2 until you’ve reactivated all other plugins.

Then finally, switch back to your current theme to complete the testing phase.

Once you've identified the source of the conflict, contact our support center with the following information:
  1. Name of plugin(s) or theme that is conflicting
  2. Information about where the problem occurs (specific part of admin?  or maybe frontend of your site?)

6. Requirements & Recommendations
