Update/Install problem “Could not create directory”

if you see a message like this from WordPress after trying to update or install the RevSlider plugin:

Installing the plugin

Could not create directory … /wp-content/plugins/revslider/inc_php

Plugin install failed.

This is most likely caused by a folder permission problem on your server. If you log in via FTP or cPanel into your wp-content/plugins folder and see the following permission structure “000” like this:

You could ask your server admins to remove the folder or just rename that folder:

After this you can upload the plugin normally again.
