Setup the “Premium Minimal Template”

Build a beautiful "One Pager" with the Premium Minimal Template
Available for free for Direct Customers.

1. Setup a blank theme template page.

Your current theme may already include a blank “FullScreen” page template. But if not, here’s a TwentySixteen Child Theme you can download and install for this purpose:

  • Important Note:
The child theme above is compatible with TwentySixteen v1.3+
  • Quick Tip:
Check out the 6m12s point of this screencast for a live example of how this child theme can be setup

The child theme itself is fairly simple, and could definitely be modified for your current theme with a few adjustments using the information here.

The child theme has one main functionality, which is to create and apply a blank “Fullscreen” page template as an option for the default TwentySixteen theme.  This is done using the technique described here.

After setting up the Child Theme above, here's where the "FullScreen Template" can be selected for the page:

2. Install the Template Pack

2.1 Visit the Template Library
2.2 Click the "+" icon for any one of the "Minimal" templates, and then click "Install Slider Pack".

You'll then see the sliders from the pack listed in your slider lineup.

3. Add the imported sliders to your FullScreen template page

Start with #1, and then repeat until all 5 are added to the page in reverse order as shown below.

And then adjust the colors in the custom script.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the Custom JavaScript section.  Then adjust the colors around line #20.
